Daytona Beach Collegiate Baseball
The Daytona Beach Collegiate League (DBCL) begins in May of 2027 under the guidance & direction of Owner & Commissioner Sean Lomas. The DBCL provides a phenomenal wood bat college summer baseball league in beautiful Daytona Beach, Florida. The league consists of collegiate players from all across the country from d1, d2, d3, juco & NAIA schools. It also has college players from colleges outside the country who come to play in the summer. Great competition & coaching, excellent staff, pristine fields, flawless atmosphere, beautiful climate & right on the beach. The DBCL is here to provide an excellent summer experience for players for many years to come.
RULES
THE DBCL FOLLOWS ALL NCAA RULES BY THE BOOK.
THERE ARE A JUST TWO THINGS WE HAVE ADDED IN OUR LEAGUE RULES THAT ARE NOT IN THE NCAA RULE BOOK.
THOSE TWO THINGS ARE:
1. ALL BATTING LINEUPS WILL UTILIZE A DH AND AN EH. WE IMPLEMENT AN EXTRA HITTER TO GIVE PLAYERS MORE OPPORTUNITY FOR AT BATS THROUGHOUT THE SUMMER
2. PITCHING RULES WILL FOLLOW THE MLB PITCH SMART GUIDELINES

IN/OUT
- Teams do not have to take I/O before games. It is at the discretion of Head Coach. If a team does take I/O they must adhere to time constraints outlined in Operating Procedures Manual.
GAME DAY
- Teams arrive at least 1 hour prior to start time of their scheduled game time.
- Teams Listed First on Schedule are the AWAY team

- 8-10 Teams
- Teams play 22 Game Schedule weather & field permitting which includes single elimination playoffs
- Max of 25 Players per team
- All coaches will have college and/or pro experience
- All college players must be finishing their freshman-senior yr. in college (graduating seniors can play)
- Graduating high school seniors are eligible to play
- Report Date is May 25th, 2027
- Games begin May 25th, 2027
- Checkout Day is June 23rd, 2027
- Games in Daytona Beach area take place at High School Fields, Pro Fields & College Diamonds
- Access to facilities including batting cages as well as several fields in the area to train & practice
- Live scores & stats on GameChanger for each team
- Daily highlights & updates on Twitter
- All players & coaches receive a Fitted Team Hat with two game jerseys & DBCL League Dri-fit Shirt
- Luxury accommodations in fully furnished condos and apartments through a housing management company
- DBCL does not provide transportation to and from games nor from the airport. Players may bring their own vehicle or carpool with teammates
- League will benefit players with many at bats & innings played

- Deposit of $525 to Reserve Position Player Roster Spot (included in total fee)

HOUSING
We highly encourage those from same college or friends traveling together to look into their own housing very early on. This being said because when you’re coming with multiple teammates or friends there’s no guarantee that all players pay on time so it’s ideally best to get your own housing. It is very hard to accommodate special requests for roommates, etc. Much easier with those who have special requests for specific roommates to get their own housing.
Housing Details
The DBCL has coordinated with a housing management company to supply top of line housing. Players & families of the BCBL will pay for housing directly on our site that’ll go to the housing management company. Any questions or assistance with anything housing related will go thru the management group of the housing units and/or your coach. No player is guaranteed a personal bed. Some players may have to bunk. The league also supplies air mattresses if needed. Three bedroom units provide for eight players. Two bedroom units provide for six players. Due to high cost of housing in premier months, we make the housing as affordable as we possibly can. We will assist with rooming lists, etc but we do not have anything to do with housing payments, rules & there on.
